It is important that you keep track of what you are working on during this project. Keeping track of your ideas in written form makes it easier for you to remember what you are working on, and helps you keep track of ideas you have already tested.

 

How to write it:

date each entry

Always write the new entry on the top of the old entry.

Leave the previous entries on the page.

Each entry should be at least one paragraph long, preferably longer to describe what you are doing.

Write in full sentences, know that it will be publicly visible.

Use only first name and last initials for students in class

Don't use your last name in the writing or file name.

 

Each class you have, you should write for a few minutes

Include this in your writing:

  • Reflect on the period - What did you do? What challenges did you face? How did you overcome those challenges?
  • What is a problem on your project that you are working on? Explain the problem. Describe the things you have tried to solve the problem. Describe the things you could try to solve the problem.
  • What are some resources that you have found for the project you are working on? Find resources that will help you to do the project. Include web addresses of the pages that are helpful. If you have found resources in the community, list those out.

 

If you do not get the written work done during class, you should do it as a homework assignment.

periodically during the term you will be asked to show your RoboticsJournal or hand it in.

 

You should send a link to your journal to the teacher so that it can be included in the class list.
